Development of a red-blood-cell-incorporating CFD software package for cardiovascular-system fluid flow analysis (CULBIBBS)

As part of my PhD research under the supervision of Professor Fergal Boyle, I am currently developing a red-blood-cell-incorporating CFD software package for cardiovascular-system fluid flow analysis. The software being developed is a 3D C++ CUDA Lattice Boltzmann Immersed Boundary Blood Simulator (CULBIBBS) for coupling with a state-of-the-art spring-network-based red blood cell model.

For a further breakdown of the project including a summary of the key milestones reached, go to my ResearchGate Project Log.
