Engineering

I designed and taught a three-week-long Engineering course for the CTYI Summer Programme covering topics such as physics and maths, fluid mechanics, energy and work, computer programming and hardware, MATLAB, environmental engineering, research and presentation skills, and management for engineers.

Lots of time was allocated for physical activities like the egg drop challenge, spaghetti bridge building and the non-Newtonian cornstarch speaker test. Guest speakers on materials science for engineering and wastewater treatment were included in the schedule, as was a trip to the TU Dublin Bolton Street Materials Laboratory for a quick tour.
